Brief personal history and journey towards beginning your CrossFit journey:

I was never someone to go to the gym to workout. I was always intimidated by the gym, the weights, etc. Saj, my husband, started going to CrossFit in Appleton where he worked and told me about it. I hired a personal trainer in Wautoma and my introduction to CrossFit began. Eventually, there were a few of us who would get together at the gym and complete WODs together.

What brought you to CrossFit Oshkosh?

When we moved to Oshkosh, we wanted to join CrossFit!  I started in December of 2015. I made Saj come with me to the first class and I was very nervous.

Your first impression of CrossFit Oshkosh?

I was welcomed and everyone was warm and friendly. It has been 1 1/2 years at CrossFit Oshkosh and I am addicted!

What has been your biggest hurdle since starting?

My biggest hurdle since I started has been challenging myself more. I don’t push myself as much as I can at times and need a little push from my coaches and friends at CrossFit. Thank you to all of you who have encouraged me along the way!!!

What is your favorite aspect of CrossFit?

My favorite aspect of CrossFit is the community!  The people who care about each other and encourage each other!  Makes me want to come get a workout in with like minded people who care about fitness and health!  I also love that my kids are proud of their strong mama!

What are your current goals in CrossFit?

My current CrossFit goals are to work on more technique with lifting, improve the gymnastics movements and hit the RX button more often!

What is something we don’t know about you?

I am an open book, but many of you may not know that I was a drummer in elementary and high school and I used to work at McDonalds!  Now, I won’t eat there anymore!
